About Us...
Luther Bernstein
Origin story
if you will...
The original Interskate Roller Rink in Lewisville, TX was built by Luther Bernstein and first opened its doors on November 19, 1981. Luther began skating when he was 17 years old and he hasn't left the world of roller skating since. Whether he was performing, coaching, teaching, managing, or just working, it was always on roller skates. He officially stopped skating when he turned 70 but he still spends most of his days at Interskate Roller Rink. Roller skating is more than a passion for Luther, it is his lifestyle. When he saw the opportunity to share his lifestyle with Lewisville, he did not hesitate. He wanted to give the community of Lewisville, TX a place to do what he loved. It wasn't the first rink Luther created or helped create, but it has become his most prominent legacy. Interskate quickly became a staple to Lewisville, TX with parents coming in every day saying, "I used to skate here when I was a kid." Skating with us has become a generational experience for many families in Lewisville, TX and beyond. It has been a long standing safe space for people of all ages and backgrounds to gather and enjoy roller skating... all thanks to Luther Bernstein.

We make it our mission to offer the best experience a roller rink can possibly offer. With a keen eye, constant maintenance, and frequent improvements to the quality of our amenities and system, we ensure a premier experience in our facilities.
-
The wood floors are composed of number 1 white maple wood and left uncoated to offer a premium and rare feeling for our skaters to enjoy.
-
Pegasus Rentals are the newest and best rentals available and we are proud to say we offer them to all of our guests renting quad skates. For inlines we offer the most reliable and long-standing rentals from a brand everyone knows: Rollerblades. Lastly, we offer a premium quad rental that we refer to as the "Speed Skates" option. For this tier of rental, we offer the well-known Riedell R3 boot paired with bright laces, a jam-plug instead of a toe-stop, and larger wheels.
-
With more sound coverage and the sheer power of our speakers we are able to create a sound that is crisp, undistorted, and consistent. Bass you can feel and vocals you can understand.
-
We are also proud to present our extensive light systems and atmosphere capabilities through our one-of-a-kind light shows. Both rinks are fully decked out with vibrant lighting, diverse fixtures, and custom controls to give our guests a uniquely extraordinary experience at both locations.
We are grateful...
